Susan has been named one of the "Top 100" lawyers in Florida for two of the last three years, one of the "Top 50 Women" lawyers in Florida for ten of the last eleven years, and Kornspan Law was selected Top Solo Law Firm in Florida for Litigation for two years in Super Lawyers magazine.

For twenty-two years, Susan focused her litigation practice on representing companies, individuals and governmental entities in resolving business, trust/estates and utility controversies through court proceedings, trials, alternative dispute resolutions and administrative proceedings.  Susan served as lead trial counsel in numerous trials before juries, judges, arbitrators, agencies and administrative boards.  Before Kornspan Law, Susan was a shareholder at an AmLaw 10 firm for fifteen years, also co-managing its two Palm Beach County offices for several years.  Susan previously served as the chairperson of the litigation department of a well-respected West Palm Beach firm, and prior to that, she began her litigation practice at a well-known, international Washington, D.C. firm.

Beginning in 2012, Susan capitalized on her considerable legal and management skills and experience to begin her new venture, focusing instead on public service and philanthropy, with a particular emphasis on, and passion for, higher education.  For example, at her undergraduate alma mater, Susan serves as the local Chair of Georgetown University's Scholarship Program, to which she contributes, mentoring matriculating undergraduates from south Florida.  At her law school alma mater, Susan and her husband Scott have contributed to the University of Miami's state-of-the-art Student Activities Center for undergraduate, law and graduate students, and Susan also serves as Chair of the Law School's Moot Court Alumni Advisory Board.
